Karma Awaits; A Reckoning Revealed

You’ve shown me the truth of who you are
A need for trust, a flickering star
Yet despite shady behavior, you see
You find yourself drawn, like a doormat, to me.

Lies and hypocrisy have stained our connection
Yet you claim innocence, denying detection
Two friendships shattered, your true name concealed
Karma awaits, a reckoning revealed

Wicked truths linger, ready to unveil
I fear not the judgment, my soul won’t fail
But you, my dear, will face the descent
As secrets unravel, their weight relentless

You fear exposure, your hidden profession
Paid for pleasure, a concealed confession
Terrified of perception, judgment, and shame
Or is it what follows, the tarnished acclaim?

Should that secret escape its hidden lair
A chorus of voices will rise, people will share
Revelations of deceit, more than we knew
Your web of deception untangled, in full view.

You claim to be busy, consumed by your work
Yet abandon it all for a young girl’s smirk
But I, a mere stranger, go unnoticed by you
Writing these lines, seeking answers anew.

I won’t be with a soul almost forty years old
Who seeks youth’s embrace, a tale too often told
Mind games you play, their purpose unclear
Your inability to apologize, crystal clear.

I see through your façade, your self-proclaimed worth
Fooled thrice over, your deceit brought to birth
Sucking on my nipples one day in delight
Then dismissing me on the next, out of sight.

Texting “goodmoaaanin,” a morning greeting
Off to a camping trip, a new flame’s fleeting
Forever free, a single man on the prowl
Indifferent to others, unwilling to howl.

You hide me away, afraid of change’s tide
To shield your allure, to preserve your pride
Unwanted hands, their touch on your skin
Unraveling your imperfect guise from within

In these verses, I mirror your heartfelt plea
Exposing the truth that longs to break free
May these words bring solace, a guiding light
Revealing the shadows that cloud your night.

These poems serve two purposes… 1) The clarity they provide me. And the greatest reason I feel compelled to share.. 2) For you to experience the “we.”
