While Being Grateful For What We’ve Got

Everyone wants a piece of you
I won’t ask for any
Any amount of energy you give me
Will be plenty

See of COURSE I want more
Sometimes feeling lonely in your presence
You respond best to fires
I don’t have one for you to put out.. fire IS my omnipresence

Maybe what I want to ask for most
Is much more complicated and simple than being a firefighter
Rather, walking willing into the engulfing flames
A surrender, dancing with the flames, becoming lighter
